The Luminyr is one of those creatures that stops a table cold the moment you place it down. With its scaled, reptilian body, broad insect wings ribbed like a dragonfly's, and the wide-set horns of a jackrabbit, it defies easy categorisation — which is precisely what makes it such a compelling fey monster. It reads as a natural creature that has been touched, twisted, or perhaps improved by Feywild magic over countless generations. Whether you use it as a strange familiar, an aggressive guardian of a fey crossing, or simply a creature the party cannot identify with any spell, the Luminyr earns its place at the table.
Details
This listing includes two sculpts of the Luminyr — one posed mid-pounce in a horizontal flying lunge, and one crouched low with claws splayed and head tilted inquisitively. Together they make a fine pair for swarming encounters or give you options for different uses across your campaign. Both are rendered with exceptional surface detail: individual scales across the torso, fine fur texture on the limbs, and delicate wing venation that will reward careful painting.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run Feywild campaigns and want genuinely uncanny fauna at the table
- Need a low-CR fey beast, exotic familiar, or Feywild encounter token
- Enjoy painting complex mixed-texture sculpts with scales, fur, and translucent wings
- Collect display-worthy creature miniatures from independent sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The satyr guide goes quiet mid-sentence, eyes fixed on the undergrowth. Two shapes detach from the canopy — wings catching the green light, horns low, claws spread wide. He whispers that the Luminyrs only attack when the Archfey is displeased. The party has been in the Feywild for six hours. They have already displeased someone.
Both miniatures are printed at 32mm scale. Bases are available as a separate option and are recommended, as some sculpts interact with their bases for the best visual result. Supports are removed before dispatch, and each piece is fully cured. Minor surface marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before priming.
