This is pose 01 of our Lord of the Grove Lieutenant range from Witchsong Miniatures. The sculpt depicts a horned, armoured fey warrior mounted atop a fearsome wolf-like beast — its antlered head reared back, clawed forelegs raised mid-charge. The rider carries a long war banner and wears layered, organic-looking armour that feels grown rather than forged, every surface etched with the detail of something ancient and wild. The base is richly detailed with scattered bones and overgrown terrain, giving the whole piece an air of savage ceremonial power.
Whether you're running a Feywild campaign, staging a boss encounter in an enchanted forest, or building a display piece that captures the menace of a corrupted natural order, this mounted lieutenant brings extraordinary presence to the table. The sheer scale and dynamism of the sculpt make it a natural choice for a recurring villain, a herald of the Grove's will, or the cavalry unit that turns the tide of a woodland siege.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a mounted Feywild lieutenant or herald-type boss for their campaign
- Are building an army of Grove or nature-corrupted fey forces
- Want a display piece that captures the wild, dangerous beauty of the Feywild
- Are looking for a villain that feels genuinely otherworldly, not just monstrous
Encounter Hook:
The party hears the banner before they see it — a low, resonant horn call threading through the trees. Then the undergrowth splits and the Lieutenant rides into the clearing, war banner snapping in a wind that shouldn't exist, the beast beneath him barely controlled. Behind him, the tree line shifts. The Grove has sent more than one.
Details
Supplied at 32mm tabletop scale. The base is included and attaches with standard modelling glue. The model arrives ready for priming and painting, though it displays brilliantly as-is. We remove supports before dispatch, and each piece is quality checked — minor surface marks are possible and can be cleaned up easily before painting.
