This is the first design in our Lizardfolk Primitive Battle Banner range, sculpted by Novaminis as scatter terrain and warband dressing for reptilian factions. The totem head bristles with large splayed feathers radiating outward like a sunburst, a horned animal skull at its centre, and three small humanoid skulls hanging from a crossbar on looped chains. Below it, a wide cloth banner hangs in heavy folds, its lower edge torn into ragged points — the kind that speaks to years of hard campaigning. The whole piece sits on a textured rubble base, fully self-contained and ready to anchor a scene.
Whether you're running a lizardfolk ambush in the wetlands, dressing a sahuagin encampment, or marking the territorial boundary of a yuan-ti cult, this banner adds immediate narrative weight to any tabletop setup. It's equally at home as a display piece alongside a painted warband.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run lizardfolk, sahuagin, or tribal humanoid encounters and want believable environmental dressing
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as a faction identifier on a crowded battlemat
- Are building a swamp, jungle, or coastal warband display for their collection
- Need a visual anchor for a tribal territory or ritual site in their campaign
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a missing trade caravan for two days when they crest a ridge and see it — three banners like this one, planted in a rough triangle around the smouldering wreckage below. The lizardfolk are still there. They haven't left because they're waiting for someone, and the party has just walked into view.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Some minor marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before priming. The piece is fully cured and ready for painting or use as-is.
