This is pose 03 of our Lizardfolk Geomancer range, sculpted by Novaminis, and it captures something genuinely unsettling about its subject — this isn't a creature casting spells from a comfortable distance. The geomancer is mid-stride, one clawed foot raised, a heavy bone-tipped staff levelled outward with the casual authority of something that has never once doubted its own power. The free hand is raised and curling, fingers splayed as if coaxing the earth to obey. A broad-shouldered cape fans out behind the coiling tail, and a skull-clasped belt carries a bulbous potion vial. Every scale, joint, and talon has been captured with exceptional sculpt fidelity — the open jaw especially, mid-hiss or mid-incantation, gives this piece a ferocity that reads clearly even at table distance.
Whether you're populating a swamp-cult encounter, placing a rival shaman at the head of a lizardfolk warband, or building a display piece worthy of a shelf, this sculpt brings a narrative weight that generic monster tokens simply cannot match. Collectors will find plenty of surface detail to reward a careful paint job; DMs will find a miniature that commands the table the moment it hits the mat.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run lizardfolk-heavy campaigns set in swamps, jungles, or ancient ruins
- Need a compelling enemy spellcaster or tribal elder NPC
- Want a challenging and rewarding painting project with rich scale and cloth texture
- Are building a lizardfolk warband and want varied, characterful sculpts across poses
- Collect display miniatures from independent sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of cracked and upheaved cobblestones into the heart of the ancient temple — and finds the geomancer already there, staff planted into the stone floor, eyes fixed on the ceiling as cracks spread outward like a spider's web. It hasn't noticed them yet. Or perhaps it has, and simply doesn't consider them worth looking at.
