This is pose 02 of our Lizardfolk Ceremonial Guard range, sculpted by Novaminis. Where a common swamp guard carries a weapon, this warrior carries status — the towering fan of feathers and lashed skulls at his back announces his role long before his spear does. He stands in a wide, grounded stance, spear held horizontally across his body in a posture that speaks of blocked passages and held ground. Every surface tells a story: rope-wound arm bindings, layered scale armour, a thorned hide shield, and a bone-adorned breastplate that has clearly seen ceremony as often as combat.
For Dungeon Masters, this miniature works beautifully as the guard who will not move — the one the players must negotiate with, outmanoeuvre, or fight their way past to reach the tribe's elder. Encounter Hook:
