Description

They said the old bridge had a guardian — they did not say it would be quite this large, quite this angry, or quite this difficult to reason with.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Little John is the bridge troll your players will remember long after the session ends. Crouching low with coiled, predatory menace, this horned hulk of muscle and matted fur looks like he has torn apart more than one crossing — and is entirely prepared to tear apart another. His gnarled hands grip the splintered remains of the bridge railing he has just wrenched free, and his curved, rune-carved horns jut forward with the weight of something very old and very territorial.

The integrated scenic base tells the whole story at a glance: crumbling stonework, fractured timber posts lashed together with rope, all of it buckling under the troll's considerable mass. There is real energy in the sculpt — this is not a troll standing guard, it is a troll in the act of making a point. Whether painted in earthy stone-grey, mossy green, or the mottled pallor of something that rarely sees sunlight, Little John rewards time at the brush.

From DM Stash's Tales Grimm collection, drawing on the darker bones of folklore — where trolls are not merely big, but ancient, possessive, and deeply unpleasant to disappoint.

Well-suited for adventurers who want to:

  • Drop a memorable, lore-rich troll encounter onto a wilderness or forest road
  • Add a centrepiece monster to a fairy-tale or dark fable campaign
  • Challenge players with a creature that controls the terrain it stands on
  • Build a display piece that commands a shelf alongside other folk-horror sculpts

Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a missing merchant for two days when they reach the narrow stone bridge over the River Greyfen — and find it blocked by Little John, who is sitting atop the parapet eating the merchant's wagon wheel. He will let them pass. For a price. He always has a price. And the last group who refused to pay it never came back to argue about it.
