This set from Great Grimoire is one of the most narratively charged scene pieces you can place on a tabletop. The centrepiece is a tall ornate wardrobe — beautifully detailed on the outside with scrollwork and carved panelling — that, when shown open, reveals a mass of writhing, grasping limbs clawing their way through from whatever lies beyond. The young girl herself is sculpted with real emotional nuance: wide-eyed, bare-footed, clutching a stuffed rabbit toy, her expression caught somewhere between wonder and dawning terror. Three views of the girl are included, showing the full sculpt from front, side, and back — long flowing hair, a frilled nightgown, and a quality of stillness that makes the chaos of the wardrobe behind her all the more unsettling. Together they form a complete diorama-quality scene, equally at home in a horror-themed D&D encounter or as a centrepiece on a display shelf.
The wardrobe itself is a versatile scatter piece in its own right — the closed version works as atmospheric dungeon or manor dressing, while the open version, packed with grasping claws and intertwined limbs, functions as a monster reveal, a portal event, or a haunt marker. Whether you're running a Ravenloft campaign, a dark fairytale adventure, or a one-shot built around childhood fears made real, this set gives your table something genuinely memorable to react to.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Run horror, dark fantasy, or gothic campaigns and want a scene-setting prop with real dramatic weight
- Need an NPC child figure that carries emotional resonance without a word of dialogue
- Want a diorama piece that works as a monster reveal, haunt encounter, or environmental storytelling moment
- Collect display miniatures and appreciate sculpts with genuine narrative craft
Encounter Hook:
The missing children of Velmoor all described the same thing before they went quiet — a wardrobe at the end of the hall, ornate and out of place, with a thin line of light beneath the door. The party arrives at the orphanage to find one child still standing in front of it, rabbit in hand, unblinking, as the handles begin to rattle from the other side.
This set is scaled to 35mm. If you would prefer a different scale, send us a message and we will do our best to accommodate you. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note with your preference from the available base styles. Bases arrive separate and attach easily. Each piece is fully cured and support-free, though minor surface marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before painting.
