The Limb Golem is one of those creatures that unsettles players before a single die is rolled. Its body is a heaving mass of fused limbs, blistered flesh, and hollow pockmarks — the result of some catastrophic ritual or forbidden conjuration gone far beyond its creator's control. The sculpt captures it mid-lunge, one enormous claw raking out to the side whilst the other curves overhead, a single monstrous eye gaping open at the centre of its torso. Skulls and half-formed faces press through the surface of its body as though trapped within the mass, lending the whole figure a deeply unsettling density of detail.
This is a large-base miniature — designed to command presence on the table as a serious threat — and the sprawling limb configuration earns every millimetre of that footprint. It works equally well as a named construct, a warlock's escaped experiment, or the physical manifestation of a necromantic curse gone horrifically right. Painters will find enormous reward here: the pitted flesh texture, the reaching claws, and the fused skulls give brush work plenty to bring to life.
This sculpt is multipart and supplied with both a decorative scenic base and a plain round base, giving you the choice of a dramatic display piece or a clean, gaming-table-friendly profile.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Need a large-scale aberrant construct to anchor a horror-themed encounter
- Want a standout centrepiece for their Underdark, dungeon, or mad-wizard storyline
- Love a miniature that rewards detailed brushwork and glazing techniques
- Are building out a necromancer's laboratory or a dungeon full of animated horrors
Encounter Hook: The party follows the trail of missing villagers into the undercroft of an abandoned alchemist's tower. The trail ends at a sealed door — and the moment they force it open, a mass of heaving flesh uncoils from the darkness beyond, one vast eye snapping open as dozens of disembodied hands claw at the stone floor. Whatever the alchemist was experimenting on, it finished the experiment for him.
