Description

He's kept the light burning through storms that would make lesser souls flee inland — and the look on his face suggests he's not remotely interested in your problems.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is Lighthouse Keeper 01 — the first pose in Novaminis' coastal NPC range. He stands with both fists planted on his hips, feet planted wide, exuding the kind of no-nonsense authority that comes from decades of living alone on a rocky headland. His thick cable-knit sweater is sculpted with impressive textile detail — you can almost feel the salt-stiffened wool — and his peaked mariner's cap sits low over a heavily bearded, weathered face set in a flat, unimpressed expression. Turned-down sea boots complete the look of a man who has absolutely no time for adventurers washing up on his shore uninvited.

Despite his apparent gruffness, the lighthouse keeper is one of those NPCs who can anchor an entire coastal campaign. He might be the only witness to a shipwreck, the reluctant guardian of something ancient kept beneath the lighthouse, or simply the one person in the region who knows the safe channels through the reef — and isn't inclined to share that knowledge freely. The "01" variation gives him a hands-on-hips confrontational stance that reads immediately as territorial and self-sufficient.

Whether you're running a pirate campaign, a nautical mystery, or a horror set on a fog-bound coast, this miniature brings genuine character to the table. He also makes a superb display piece for collectors who appreciate finely detailed civilian sculpts alongside their monsters and heroes.

Particularly well suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a distinctive coastal or harbour NPC with real personality
  • Are running nautical, pirate, or maritime-horror campaigns
  • Want an information broker or reluctant quest-giver with a believable lived-in look
  • Appreciate collecting characterful civilian sculpts alongside combat minis

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the lighthouse after reports of ships vanishing in the strait. The keeper answers the door before they've even knocked — he was watching them from the lamp room. Arms crossed, he blocks the entrance and tells them the last group of investigators didn't come back from the rocks at low tide, and he's got no reason to think they'll do any better. Whether he's protecting something, covering something up, or just tired of being disturbed is entirely up to your Dungeon Master.
