This is Lich 02 from Galaad Miniatures, and the sculpt leaves no doubt about the kind of villain it represents. Clad in sweeping ceremonial robes adorned with skulls and dark sigils, this undead hierophant strides forward with one clawed hand raised and the other curled into a fist — mid-incantation or mid-condemnation, it is hard to say which. A towering mitre crowns a skeletal face locked in a permanent rictus grin, and smaller skull motifs cluster at the shoulders and belt, hinting at the soul fragments and dark phylactery magic that sustain this creature's unnatural existence. The flowing robes billow with dramatic forward momentum, giving the mini genuine presence on the table.

Where many undead spellcasters read as generic threats, this sculpt has the specific iconography of a corrupted church — a hierophant who bent divine or arcane law until it broke, and then kept going. He works equally well as a campaign-ending BBEG, a recurring mastermind pulling strings from a forgotten reliquary, or the dread ruler of a theocratic undead domain. Painted or unpainted, the detail in the robe panels, the layered armour plates, and the skull ornamentation gives painters a genuinely rewarding project and collectors a centrepiece worth displaying.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Need a high-impact lich villain with distinctive ecclesiastical character
  • Are running campaigns set in Ravenloft, corrupted holy sites, or undead kingdoms
  • Want a centrepiece miniature that reads clearly from across the table
  • Enjoy a detailed painting project with strong contrast and texture throughout
  • Collect undead minis for display alongside their gaming collection

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the seat of an ancient bishopric to find it staffed entirely by the skeletal remains of its former congregation — all frozen mid-prayer, all facing the altar. At the pulpit stands a figure in ceremonial robes who turns slowly and says, in a voice like vellum catching fire: "The service is not yet concluded."

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces, designed to be joined with superglue — and this sculpt does interact with its base in a way that rewards using it as intended. Some minor support marks may be present as a natural part of the printing process; these are easily tidied up before priming. The mini arrives fully cured and ready for paint or display straight from the box.
