This Lich is a sculpt that earns its place at the head of any campaign's villain roster. Depicted in a pose of terrible authority — one hand thrusting a skull aloft, the other clutching an open spellbook — this undead archmage is surrounded by writhing ghostly tendrils and floating arcane tomes, as though death itself is merely another school of magic he has already mastered. The gaunt, exposed musculature beneath tattered robes speaks to a being who has long since abandoned mortal comfort in pursuit of immortality. Every detail rewards a close look: scrolls, spell components, and spectral limbs emerge from the billowing cloth of his lower form, giving the impression of a mind that never stops working — even across aeons.
Whether you're placing him on a battle map as the final boss of a months-long campaign arc or displaying him on a shelf as the centrepiece of an undead collection, this sculpt carries genuine narrative weight. He is a villain who looks like he has already read the ending of the story — and chosen to rewrite it.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding BBEG for a necromancy or arcane horror campaign
- Are building an undead or Ravenloft-themed miniature collection
- Want a challenging and rewarding painting project with exceptional surface detail
- Play or run Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or any fantasy TTRPG with high-level undead threats
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the sealed vault beneath the collapsed academy to recover the stolen phylactery — only to find the Lich already there, turning the skull of the last adventurer who tried, studying it with mild academic interest. He closes his spellbook slowly. "You're early," he says. "I hadn't finished preparing."
