This is the Librarian 01 sculpt from Novaminis — a characterful, mid-stride NPC depicted carrying a substantial stack of thick tomes. She wears a long lace-sided skirt and a fitted top, with her long braided hair trailing behind her as she walks briskly. The pose is wonderfully dynamic for a non-combat figure: there's a sense of constant motion and academic preoccupation that makes her feel genuinely alive on the tabletop.
The books are the real standout detail here — a generous stack of chunky, worn volumes clutched tightly in both arms, their spines and bindings clearly defined. This sculpt works equally well as a key NPC in a city library, a sage's hall, a wizard's tower, or an arcane academy. She could represent a Wizard keeping her spellbook collection close, a Bard cataloguing bardic lore, or simply the keeper of the most dangerous secrets in your campaign world.
This is variation 01 — check the rest of the Novaminis range if you're looking for additional NPC poses to populate your settlement scenes.
This miniature suits adventurers who:
- Need a memorable, well-characterised NPC for a library, academy, or urban setting
- Are playing a Wizard or Bard and want a bookish, scholarly character to represent them
- Want to bring a city district or sage's hall to life with atmospheric supporting characters
- Are collectors who appreciate expressive, narrative miniatures with strong personality
Encounter Hook: The party's contact at the Grand Archive hasn't been seen in three days. When they arrive, they find the junior librarian — arms full of books as ever — hurrying past the restricted section with a nervous glance over her shoulder. Someone has been in the forbidden catalogue, and she knows exactly who.
