Description
In the high towers of ancient aeries, great warriors are immortalised not in oil on canvas but in stone — their fierce gaze and decorated armour a testament to battles fought and skies defended.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
Leonai is an owlfolk warrior of unmistakable presence. The bust captures him from the chest upward, his broad, heavily armoured shoulders adorned with pauldrons decorated in sweeping scrollwork and circular medallion motifs. Layered plate wraps his chest, etched with flowing vine-like engravings that speak to a martial tradition steeped in ceremony and honour. Above the armour, his avian face — all sharp beak, keen forward-set eyes, and ruffled white feathers — carries the composed intensity of someone who has already calculated the outcome of this encounter and found it satisfactory. He is mounted on a classical pedestal base, making this a display piece ready for the shelf straight from the paintbrush.
Whether you see him as a Kenku commander, a Aarakocra paladin-lord, a neutral arbiter of avian law, or a legendary NPC patron whose allegiances are never quite clear, Leonai lends gravitas to any collection or campaign world. This is a bust designed to reward painters — the layered armour detail, feather texture, and facial structure offer a canvas that will look exceptional under a careful hand.
Worth adding to your collection if you:
- Enjoy detailed bust projects with rich surface texture and expressive faces
- Are building a display shelf of memorable fantasy characters
- Want a compelling NPC, patron, or avian warlord for your TTRPG campaign
- Are a collector drawn to avian or birdfolk fantasy sculpts
- Are looking for a showcase painting piece that doubles as narrative inspiration
Encounter Hook:
The party has been summoned — not asked, summoned — to the highest spire of the Featherstone Citadel. The bust of Leonai in the antechamber is not decorative. It is a warning. The real Leonai sits behind the doors ahead, and every scroll etched into his armour represents a treaty he has ended personally.
This bust is printed at display scale on a classical pedestal base, as shown. It is suited to collectors and painters rather than standard tabletop combat use, though it serves as a compelling visual reference for avian characters and NPCs in D&D 5e and other fantasy TTRPGs. Minor clean-up of support marks may occasionally be required.
