Lemure 1 MM2025 by MZ4250
Description
At the very bottom of the infernal hierarchy, the lemure is not so much a creature as a punishment — a soul stripped of identity and reshaped into a mewling, twitching mass of flesh that serves the Nine Hells until something worse happens to it.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime

This is Lemure 1 from MZ4250's 2025 collection — a grotesque, hunched mass of rippling, corrupted flesh emerging from a wide oval base. The sculpt captures the lemure's most unsettling quality: it barely resembles a humanoid at all. Thick, worm-like folds of skin cover every surface, and a slack-jawed face — eyes sealed shut, mouth yawning open — erupts from the centre of the mass. One arm claws upward whilst the other dissolves into dripping, melted tissue at its side. There is no dignity here, and that is entirely the point.
The detail work across this sculpt is genuinely impressive — every ridge and fold reads clearly at 32mm scale, making it an engaging subject for washes and layered flesh tones. A wet-blending approach across the body, with a deep red-to-pale-pink gradient, would bring out the textural contrast between the taut, straining areas and the slack, drooping masses of corrupted skin. As a monster encounter piece, it reads immediately and unmistakably as something infernal and wrong.
This is variation 1 of the lemure sculpts available from MZ4250 — adventurers running larger devil encounters may wish to collect multiple variants to build out a suitably miserable horde.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Run campaigns in Avernus or the Nine Hells and need low-CR devil fodder
- Want a visually distinct fiend that reads as genuinely unsettling on the table
- Enjoy painting textured organic sculpts with washes and flesh tones
- Are building out an infernal encounter group with varied lemure poses
- Display painted minis alongside infernal or horror-themed pieces
Encounter Hook: The party descends into a collapsed vault beneath the city of Elturel — still scarred from its time in Avernus — and finds the walls weeping. Three lemures have clawed through from a planar scar in the stone floor, drawn by residual infernal energy. They do not attack immediately; they simply converge, silently, mouths open. The party's cleric recognises the faces. They belonged to people who died here when the city fell.
