Description

Born where magma meets crystal and the earth itself screams with heat, the Lava Elemental Salamander is less a creature than a geological catastrophe with teeth.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This sculpt captures the salamander mid-lunge — jaws agape, clawed feet braced against a rocky outcrop studded with jutting amethyst crystals, its armoured tail arching high behind it. The body is layered with fractured shard-like scales that erupt from the spine like volcanic rock formations, giving the creature the look of something halfway between lizard and living magma flow. A heavy mechanical contraption — bolted iron plates and heavy machinery — sits mounted to its flank, suggesting something has tried to harness this beast, perhaps the duergar, perhaps something worse. The base integrates the rocky terrain and crystal formations seamlessly, making this a display piece as much as a gaming miniature.

In D&D terms, this creature works as a reskinned salamander, a bound elemental, or an entirely homebrew monster unleashed in volcanic caverns, dwarven forges gone wrong, or the Elemental Plane of Fire. The scale and presence on the tabletop will make any encounter feel genuinely dangerous — adventurers across the table will know something has gone very badly for them the moment this hits the mat.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run encounters in volcanic regions, the Underdark, or elemental planes
  • Need a large-scale creature to anchor a set-piece boss fight
  • Want a display piece that rewards detailed painting — lava glow, obsidian scales, glowing crystal bases
  • Are building themed encounters around bound elementals, fire cults, or deep-earth horrors

Encounter Hook:
The dwarven mining cart at the tunnel's end has been overturned, its iron frame bolted crudely to the back of something enormous. The creature lifts its head from the rubble, amethyst crystals cracking beneath its claws, and the party realises — someone tried to weaponise this thing. They failed. It is not restrained anymore.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and scenic base are separate pieces and attach securely with a small amount of super glue — the base integrates with the sculpt in a way that genuinely adds to the finished piece. Printed to a high standard with fine surface detail; supports are removed prior to dispatch, though minor marks are occasionally possible and easily cleaned up before priming.
