This Large Coral piece from Mia Kay M3DM is a striking scatter terrain miniature that brings the uncanny depths to your table. The sculpt captures a gnarled, branching coral formation — all textured, knobbed growths and splayed finger-like tips rising from a solid, integrated base. Whether your party has descended into a flooded dungeon, washed ashore on a cursed isle, or stumbled into the domain of a sea-touched aberration, this piece sets the scene immediately. The organic silhouette is convincingly unsettling, sitting somewhere between natural and distinctly wrong.
It works equally well as a functional piece of cover on a battle map or as a display centrepiece on a collector's shelf — paint it in vivid bioluminescent hues or leave it raw for a bleached, skeletal look. Either way, it earns its place.
Handy for adventurers who:
- Are building underwater, coastal, or aboleth-territory encounter maps
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as atmospheric set dressing
- Are working on a diorama or display piece featuring aquatic or deep-sea themes
- Love painting organic textures with washes, drybrushing, and spot colour
Encounter Hook:
The tide has retreated from the sea caves, leaving the coral exposed — but the party quickly realises the coral is still moving, slowly, in unison, as though breathing. Three aboleth cultists kneel at its base, whispering. Roll for initiative.
