Large Clams by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
The tide retreated hours ago, but something left behind on the exposed reef bed is still moving — and those shells weren't open before.

These large clam scatter pieces bring a vivid slice of the deep coast to your tabletop. Sculpted with organic, flowing forms — layered shell lips, billowing fronds of sea growth, and nestled pearls caught mid-reveal — they feel plucked straight from a tidal flat or submerged ruin. Whether your encounter is set on a storm-battered shoreline, in a flooded sea cave, or in the eerily calm shallows of an aboleth's lair, these pieces immediately ground the scene in something tangible and textured.
They paint up superbly too, rewarding wet-blending and washes across those curved shell surfaces. Display collectors will find them a natural companion to any coastal or underwater diorama.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are building immersive coastal, shoreline, or underwater battle maps
- Need scatter terrain to dress out flooded dungeon rooms or sea cave encounters
- Want organic, characterful pieces for dioramas and display collections
- Are working on a painted terrain project and want sculpts with strong surface detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has been sent to retrieve a pearl said to grant visions of the future — last seen in a clutch of giant clams on a reef shelf outside a sahuagin shrine. As they wade in, the largest clam yawns open to reveal not a pearl, but an eye. It blinks.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model with a detailed base comes as a single attached piece. The version with a plain base arrives with the base detached for easy gluing. Both options are ready to prime and paint, or can be used straight from the box as-is. As with all our prints, each piece is individually quality checked — minor marks from the printing process are rare but possible and can easily be tidied up.
