Description

Something ancient and hungry lurks beneath the mountain — and it has been eating its way upward for centuries.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

Lak the Eater of Rock is a creature of subterranean nightmare: a massive, scale-crowned behemoth whose gaping maw reveals row upon row of crushing teeth, perfectly sculpted to suggest a beast that consumes the very stone of the earth. This bust captures Lak mid-roar, jaws flung wide, the thick folds of its neck and the heavy plating of its skull rendered in extraordinary detail. The rocky debris caught between its teeth tells a story all on its own.

As a display bust, this piece is built for painters and collectors who want a genuinely challenging, characterful centrepiece. The texture contrast between the rough, boulder-like scales across the crown and the smooth, leathery skin beneath offers a range of painting opportunities — from deep washes in the crevices to sharp edge highlights along each scale ridge. Whether displayed raw or fully painted, this piece commands attention.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want a show-stopping display bust to anchor a painting desk or shelf
  • Are looking for an Underdark creature with real presence and narrative weight
  • Need a visual prop or inspiration piece for a D&D or TTRPG campaign featuring a subterranean titan
  • Enjoy technically demanding miniature painting projects with complex textures

Encounter Hook:
The tremors have been growing worse for weeks. The miners of Deepvein refuse to go below the third level — not since Carrik came back without his arm and rambling about teeth in the dark. When the party finally descends, they find the tunnel wall simply... gone, replaced by a vast circular bore and the low, resonant grinding of something impossibly large still moving through the rock ahead.

This listing is for the Lak the Eater of Rock bust, printed at display scale on a sculpted decorative plinth base. The bust is supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor support marks are possible on complex sculpts — these are easily addressed during prep. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch.
