Victoria Asquith is the Lady Duellist — a noble-blooded fighter who has long since traded the drawing room for the duelling ground. Clad in layered plate-and-leather armour trimmed with chain, a tiered skirt over tall fitted boots, and a sweeping cape that catches every draft of the arena air, she carries herself with the composed menace of someone who has never lost a formal bout. One hand holds a basket-hilted rapier raised at a precise angle; the other grips a second blade low at her hip, ready to come up in a cross-guard that opponents have regretted underestimating.
The sculpt captures her mid-beat — weight settled, shoulders squared, eyes forward — the stance of a duelling master reading her opponent rather than rushing them. Her wind-caught hair and the sweep of her cape give a sense of motion that makes her compelling from every angle, front and back alike. The ornate circular base, decorated with raised floral and shield motifs, grounds the whole piece with an arena-worthy formality.
She works equally well as a Swashbuckler Rogue, a Battle Master Fighter, or a Bladesinger-adjacent NPC who haunts the courts and fighting pits of your campaign city. As a display piece, the layered textures — the chain trim, the stitching on the boots, the tooled belt — reward careful painting and make her a genuinely satisfying project for any brush.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Are running an arena combat encounter or gladiatorial campaign arc
- Need a compelling NPC champion, rival duelist, or guild blade-for-hire
- Want a female fighter or rogue miniature with genuine personality and detail
- Enjoy display painting and want a piece that rewards fine detail work
- Are building a city-based urban campaign with courts, contracts, and crossed blades
Encounter Hook
The party has been hired to expose a rigged betting syndicate running the city's premier duelling house — but before they can act, the syndicate's enforcer steps forward to challenge whichever party member has been making trouble. Victoria Asquith draws her blades slowly, and the pit master announces there will be no interference until one combatant yields. The crowd presses closer. No one is yielding.
