Kuo-Toa by Monster Atlas

The Kuo-Toa are among the most unsettling denizens of the Underdark: ancient, alien, and bound to madcap religious devotion that makes them unpredictable in the extreme. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that unnerving quality brilliantly — wide yellow eyes, a jaw full of needle teeth stretched into something almost like a grin, and a muscular frame clad in rough cloth wrappings and crude armour. The barbed spear it carries is a wicked piece of craftsmanship, etched with cruel detailing that speaks to both the creature's martial role and its devotion to darker powers. A hooked weapon at its belt and coiled rope across its back suggest this Kuo-Toa has seen action — and intends to see more.
Whether you're running a Underdark crawl, a seaside cult encounter, or populating a grimy underwater temple, this miniature gives you a character with genuine menace on the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where the sculpt's detail rewards close inspection from every angle.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Are running Underdark campaigns and need rank-and-file Kuo-Toa warriors
- Want a cult-themed encounter with real visual impact
- Enjoy painting creatures with unusual skin tones, texture, and expressive faces
- Collect D&D monsters for display as well as play
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to investigate a fishing village where the catch has dried up overnight. Following a trail of strange carvings into the sea caves below the cliffs, they emerge into a vast flooded cavern — and find themselves surrounded by a congregation of Kuo-Toa, mid-ritual, spears already raised.

What's included:
This miniature is printed at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces and can be attached with super glue. Note that some models interact with their bases in ways that make the decorative base the recommended choice for the best result. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be tidied up easily before priming.
