Description

Even in the deepest warrens, someone has to take the drinks order — and this kobold has decided that someone is going to be them.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Not every kobold is lurking in a trap-riddled tunnel waiting to ambush the party. Some have found a far more cunning niche: the service industry. This delightful sculpt from The Toadstool Weaver depicts a kobold waiter in full livery — apron tied neatly at the waist, bow at the collar, one clawed hand raised with a loaded tray of cups balanced overhead, and the other extended in that universal gesture of "table for two, or are you waiting for the rest of your party?" The expression is brilliantly reptilian: somewhere between professional courtesy and barely concealed contempt, as only a kobold can manage.

Whether this little entrepreneur runs the bar of an Underdark tavern, serves the dragon cult's inner circle at their weekly banquet, or simply appeared one day in a village inn and no one has dared question it — the Kobold Waiter is a showpiece NPC that will make your players smile and your table immediately more interesting. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is on the gaming table, this is a miniature that rewards a careful paint job: the apron folds, the tray detail, and those wonderfully scaly hands are all crying out for a brush.

A brilliant pick for adventurers who:

  • Want a characterful NPC to populate a tavern, inn, or underground establishment
  • Are building quirky or comedic D&D encounters that still pack genuine detail
  • Love painting expressive non-combat miniatures with rich texture and personality
  • Collect display pieces that tell a story without needing a word of explanation

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked a stolen shipment of alchemical goods to a nondescript inn on the edge of the Underdark — only to find the entire front-of-house operation staffed by kobolds in matching livery. The head waiter, a sharp-eyed specimen with a tray and absolutely no intention of answering questions, informs them there is a forty-minute wait for a table. Roll Persuasion, or take a seat.

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. All miniatures are dispatched ready for priming and painting, though they look characterful straight off the tray as well.
