Description

Nobody asked who digs the graves in a kobold warren — but someone always does, and they've learned things about the dead that the living would rather not know.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the Kobold Tribe Gravekeeper — the warren's grim specialist, the one the other kobolds avoid making eye contact with. Sculpted by Epic Miniatures with their characteristic eye for characterful detail, this diminutive figure carries the full weight of his unsavoury occupation: a broad-bladed shovel in one hand, a lantern staff with an ornate top held in the other, and a battered wooden crate strapped to his back — brimming with bones, skulls, and grave-tending tools. His stitched cloak hangs ragged at the hem, his scaled hide visible beneath, and a heavy ridged tail curves out behind him as he leans purposefully into his stride.

The sculpt rewards a painter who loves texture contrast: rough wooden planks against smooth reptilian scales, aged iron against tattered cloth. A grimy earthy palette suits him naturally — deep ochres, mossy greens, rust-flecked metal — but he'd look equally at home in the bleached bone tones of an undead-serving cultist or the warmer terracottas of a deep warren tribe. He's a supporting character who quietly steals the scene.

Whether you need a quirky NPC for your kobold faction, a low-CR encounter in the catacombs beneath a city, or a deeply characterful addition to a display shelf, this gravekeeper delivers personality by the shovelful.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

  • Run kobold factions with social depth and memorable supporting cast
  • Want a graveyard or undercroft encounter piece that isn't just another skeleton
  • Are painting a diorama that needs a small, story-rich focal character
  • Love unconventional sculpts that provoke a reaction at the table

Encounter Hook: The party follows a trail of freshly turned earth into the catacombs beneath the old temple, only to find a kobold gravekeeper methodically cataloguing the bones of the adventurers who came before them — cross-referencing their equipment against a tally scratched into a wooden board strapped to his back. He looks up. He does not seem surprised. He asks, very politely, if they'll be staying.
