  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 02 of our Kobold Chief range, sculpted by Novaminis. Where pose 01 may posture and bark orders, this Chief is already moving — spear levelled, spiked shield flung wide, jaws open in a battle-cry that echoes through every tunnel his kin have ever dug. His armour is battered leather and riveted plate, studded with spikes and decorated with the feathered crest of a warren elder. Scaled claws grip the stone beneath him as he charges, every inch of his compact, muscular frame radiating the coiled aggression of a creature who has survived a hundred ambushes by being just a little more ruthless than his enemies expected.

For Dungeon Masters, this mini does exactly what a kobold chief should — it tells your players that this one is different before a word of narration is spoken. For painters and collectors, the sculpt rewards a careful brush: the layered armour plates, the rope-bound spear shaft, and the open maw with its many fine teeth all hold detail beautifully at 32mm scale.

A fine addition to any adventurer's collection who:

  • Needs a credible, characterful boss to lead a kobold warren or dragon cult
  • Wants a miniature that reads as a threat even at small scale
  • Is building a kobold warband with visual hierarchy — chief, warriors, trappers
  • Enjoys painting reptilian scales, riveted armour, and snarling expressions
  • Collects creature minis for display alongside the rest of their Novaminis range

Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the copper mine expecting scavengers — and finds the tunnels lit with torch-brackets, the floors swept clear of debris, and at the far end of the main shaft, a lone kobold standing in full armour with a spear pointed directly at the rogue who went ahead. Behind him, the shadows move. There are dozens of them. And their chief has already chosen who dies first.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale, this miniature is ready to prime and paint straight away. A plain black base is available as an optional add-on and comes unattached — a touch of glue is all you need to fix it in place. As with all hand-checked prints, minor support marks can occasionally occur; these are easily tidied up before painting.
