Description

Somewhere deep beneath the mountain, the dragon sleeps — and its smallest, most fanatical servants stand guard with spears levelled and jaws wide.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This Kobold Spearman is everything a dungeon-delving party deserves to find lurking in the shadows of a dragon's lair. Sculpted in an aggressive, forward-lunging stance, this wiry draconic humanoid grips a long spear horizontally with both clawed hands — weight shifted low, ready to thrust. The pose radiates that kobold-specific brand of scrappy, reckless devotion. The sculpt captures the character's scaled hide in fine detail, from the ridged horns on its snarling, open-mawed head to the thick clawed feet planted on the base. Rough cloth wraps the hips, a leather belt carries a small pouch, and the arms and legs show overlapping scales that reward careful brushwork.

This is Kobold 3 — one of several variations in MZ4250's kobold range, and this sculpt is distinguished by its two-handed spear grip and low combat crouch. Where other kobolds might lurk with daggers or slings, this one is charging headlong — the grunt leading the ambush. Paint it in earthy greens or burnt oranges to match a classic kobold warren, or go pale and grey for a cavern-dwelling albino variant deep in the Underdark.

Whether you need it to populate a kobold encounter, represent a Dragonborn's diminutive distant kin, or serve as a throwaway random encounter that becomes a memorable moment, this miniature carries more personality than its CR suggests.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run kobold lairs, dragon cult encounters, or deep dungeon delves
  • Want a characterful low-CR enemy that still looks the part on the table
  • Are painting a themed kobold warband with varied poses and weapons
  • Collect small humanoid minis to fill out encounter groups or display dioramas

Encounter Hook: The party hears skittering in the passage ahead — then nothing. As they advance into the vaulted cavern, torchlight catches the glint of a dozen spear-tips. The kobolds were already in position. Roll for initiative.
