Sir Dagonet is one of Arthurian legend's most intriguing figures: King Arthur's fool, granted knighthood not merely for sport but for the sharp wit and surprising courage that lay beneath the motley. This sculpt from Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range captures that contradiction beautifully — a fighter in a jester's hood and belled cap, diamond-quilted tunic, knee armour, and heavy boots, sword raised and a round shield bearing a grinning jester's face held ready at his side. There's a knowing smirk on his face that says he's already three moves ahead of whoever's foolish enough to underestimate him.

Three separate poses are available in this range, each capturing a distinct moment of Sir Dagonet in action — check the other listings if you'd like to field the full set. All three share the same beautifully sculpted rocky ground base, and each pose rewards a close look at the character details: the jingle bells on his hood, the expressive shield boss, and the confident, wide-legged stance of a man who knows exactly what he's doing.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want a court jester who's also a genuine threat in combat
  • Are running an Arthurian, chivalric, or medieval fantasy campaign
  • Need a charismatic Fighter or Bard-Fighter multiclass PC with real visual presence
  • Are building a Kings of Camelot NPC roster or a legendary knights encounter
  • Collect display-scale miniatures from mythologically inspired ranges

Encounter Hook:
The party has been summoned before the king to account for their conduct on the road — and the man sent to escort them in is wearing bells on his hat and a grin that doesn't reach his eyes. Sir Dagonet, the king's fool and knight, looks them over one by one, laughs at something only he finds funny, and then quietly informs them that the last group who underestimated him didn't make it to the throne room.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative rocky base is included as a separate piece and attaches with a small amount of glue — the sculpt is designed to sit naturally with it, and the two work best together. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
