They said the Knight of the Lion had ridden into legend — but here he stands, sword at his side and a great mane beside him, very much present and very much dangerous.

- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Sir Ywan cuts an unmistakable figure on any tabletop. Clad in layered plate and chainmail, a lion crest embossed on his chest, and a battle-worn cloak swept behind him, this is a knight who has clearly seen the far side of a siege and come back with more scars than regrets. His longsword is held loosely at his side — not drawn in anger, but ready. His expression carries the kind of quiet authority that makes even the boldest paladin think twice before speaking first.
At his flank stands a magnificent lion: full mane, alert gaze, coiled power in every sculpted line. This isn't a beast on a leash — this is a companion of equal standing. The two together command the base with a presence that works equally well on the gaming table during a tense parley scene, or on the display shelf as the centrepiece of an Arthurian or high fantasy collection. This sculpt is part of Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range, and it carries that setting's sense of myth and weight throughout.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Want a named knight NPC — a quest-giver, rival champion, or reluctant ally
- Are building an Arthurian or Carolingian-flavoured TTRPG campaign
- Play a Fighter, Paladin, or Beast Master Ranger and want a thematically rich player character mini
- Collect display-scale pieces with strong visual narrative and painting potential
- Need a faction leader, tournament champion, or legendary warrior for their campaign world
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a disputed treaty scroll to a neutral lord — but when they arrive at the agreed meeting point, they find Sir Ywan already there, sword resting on the ground, lion at his side, watching them approach with an expression that suggests he knows exactly what's in that scroll and has already decided what happens next.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Sir Ywan and his lion companion are included together on a single scenic base. The model and base are provided as separate pieces for easy attachment. As with all sculpts in the Chronicles of Excalibur range, Sir Ywan's pose interacts closely with his base — the decorative rocky terrain complements the composition of the piece. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
