Description

He came to Camelot not as a native son, but as a stranger who outfought them all — Sir Palamedes, the Saracen knight, whose honour was won blade by blade on foreign soil.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Part of Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range, Sir Palamedes is one of the most compelling figures of Arthurian legend — a knight of unimpeachable skill and fierce personal code who remained an outsider even at the Round Table. This sculpt captures that tension beautifully: clad in layered scale armour with etched bracers and a heavy belt, his turbaned helm and billowing cloak mark him immediately as someone who belongs to a wider world than Albion alone. He stands sword raised and round shield in hand, his expression set with the quiet intensity of a man who has nothing left to prove — but will prove it anyway.

Three distinct poses are available in this range, each offering a different angle on the knight's bearing. This pose — forward-facing, sword high, shield braced — reads as a warrior mid-challenge, perfect for a dramatic entrance or a duel scene. The sweeping cloak, sculpted mid-flow, adds tremendous dynamism, and the rocky textured base gives him a solid, grounded presence at the table.

A fine choice for adventurers who:

  • Want to play or portray a Fighter with a distinctive cultural identity and layered backstory
  • Need a named NPC knight — a rival, a mercenary lord, or a reluctant ally with a code of his own
  • Are running an Arthurian-themed campaign or a court-intrigue setting where outsiders carry weight
  • Collect display-scale minis from mythology-inspired fantasy ranges

Encounter Hook:
The party receives word that a foreign knight has been holding the bridge at the edge of the king's lands for three days, refusing all passage — not out of malice, they say, but waiting to speak with someone worthy enough to hear his message. When the adventurers arrive, they find him alone, unhorsed, and surrounded by six men who learned the hard way that he means what he says.

Scaled to 32mm. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. The sculpt and decorative base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with a small amount of glue — note that on some sculpts in this range the figure and base interact closely, so the base is well worth including for the full effect. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to tidy up before painting.
