Sir Ector is a figure from Arthurian legend reimagined for the tabletop: the weathered foster-father of Arthur, a knight whose authority comes not from youth or glory but from decades of hard-earned experience. This sculpt captures that gravitas brilliantly — a broad, heavily-built warrior in partial plate over chainmail, a flowing cape draped across his shoulders, and a full-faced helmet tucked under one arm. He plants a tall trident like a walking staff, his expression carrying the particular weight of a man who has seen too much to be easily impressed. The textured scenic base, strewn with scattered debris and broken ground, grounds the piece with real character.
Three variations of Sir Ector are available in our Chronicles of Excalibur range, each offering a subtly different pose and angle — this listing covers the full set. Whether you need a gruff quest-giver, a rival lord, or a seasoned Fighter PC with genuine presence, Sir Ector brings something most generic knight minis simply don't: a face and a story.
Equally at home as a gaming piece or a display figure on your shelf, Sir Ector is one for adventurers who want their table populated with characters that feel lived-in.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a grizzled, named NPC knight as a quest-giver, liege lord, or political rival
- Are playing or running an Arthurian-inspired or low-fantasy medieval campaign
- Want a Fighter PC mini with genuine bulk, authority, and personality
- Enjoy display painting characterful, portrait-style sculpts
- Are building out a Chronicles of Excalibur themed collection
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the gates of Caer Aldric to find Sir Ector himself standing guard — not his soldiers, but the old knight in person, trident in hand, helmet under his arm, and a look that says he knew they were coming before they did. He has one task for them, and he is not asking twice.
Details
Each miniature is printed at 32mm scale. The decorative scenic base is included and supplied as a separate piece for easy assembly — a little glue is all that's needed. Sir Ector is supplied unpainted and ready for priming. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks or support blemishes may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before painting.
