The Knight of Pride is a figure of grim authority. Orsinius cuts an imposing silhouette: intricately engraved plate armour layered over chainmail, a tattered long cloak trailing behind him, a crown-like visor that speaks of corrupted kingship rather than holy station. In one hand he carries a long lance rested at his shoulder, in the other a wickedly ornate sword held low — not raised in challenge, but dangled with the casual menace of someone who has never doubted the outcome of a fight. He stands atop a shattered stone base, the rubble of something he likely destroyed himself.
From the A Grim Siege grimdark adventure collection by DM Stash, Orsinius works brilliantly as a fallen paladin boss, a knightly villain corrupted by sin, a deadly rival for your party's own warrior, or a tragic anti-hero whose arc your players might yet try to redeem. His silhouette reads immediately as regal and dangerous — the kind of NPC who commands silence the moment he enters a room.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a grimdark knight villain or fallen paladin for their campaign
- Want a commanding boss encounter mini with unmistakable screen presence
- Are building a collection of morally complex, lore-rich characters
- Play or DM grimdark, dark fantasy, or siege-campaign settings
- Collect display-worthy character miniatures alongside their gaming pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party crests the hill to find the siege already broken — siege engines smouldering, banners torn down. Standing alone amid the wreckage is a figure in crowned armour, lance resting on his shoulder, watching them approach. He doesn't raise a weapon. He doesn't need to. Orsinius the Faithless has been expecting them, and he looks almost disappointed they took this long.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative rubble base is included as a separate piece and attaches with superglue — note that Orsinius's pose is sculpted to interact with the base, so it is worth attaching it for display and play alike. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up with a hobby knife before priming.
