- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Witchsong Miniatures' Knight of Action is a warrior sculpted at the apex of violence, captured mid-arc as an enormous rune-engraved greataxe buries itself into shattered stone. The figure is cloaked in ornate layered armour — pauldrons etched with knotwork, a fur-lined gorget, and a plumed helmet that speaks of martial rank hard-won rather than inherited. The dynamic diagonal composition, with the axe planted low and the warrior leaning into the momentum above, gives this piece genuine kinetic energy on the tabletop.
Sized larger than standard 32mm scale (the base measures 55mm), this is a miniature that commands attention. The textured rubble base — cracked flagstones split by the force of the blow — tells its own story before a single word of narration is spoken. Equally at home as a centrepiece on a display shelf or at the heart of a climactic boss encounter, this is a sculpt that rewards both the painter and the Dungeon Master.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a formidable BBEG or rival champion with genuine physical presence
- Are planning a large-scale display painting project with strong focal points
- Want a named NPC — a warlord, fallen paladin, or mercenary captain — their players will remember
- Run campaigns built around military orders, crusades, or brutal arena combat
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the ruins of a border fortress to find it already half-demolished — not by siege engines, but by a single figure in rune-covered armour who is still working through the remaining walls. The Knight of Action turns slowly, axe dragging across the stone, and asks one question: "Are you here to negotiate, or to entertain me?"
Details
This model is supplied at display scale (55mm base) as intended by the artist — sized to read as a boss-tier character at the table. The base is included detached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. If you'd prefer a different scale, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Supports are removed before dispatch; minor marks from the printing process are possible but easily tidied up, and every piece is fully cured before it leaves us.
