Description
Sealed within a crown of iron blades and the remnants of a shattered visor, the Dreadnaught does not need eyes to see — it has already seen the end of every kingdom it chose to destroy.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Knight Horror Examinate Dreadnaught is a large-format display bust that captures something between a death knight and a forgotten warlord — a figure whose very armour seems to have grown around a skull, riveted and spined and utterly merciless. The helmet rises into a crown of jagged iron flames, while the exposed jaw below the broken visor grins with a bone-deep certainty that this fight is already over. Heavy pauldrons, studded plate, and cracked armour panels give painters an enormous amount of surface variation to work with — washes, edge highlights, object-source lighting from the skull's eye sockets — this bust rewards every technique you throw at it.
As a display bust, this piece is designed to sit on the shelf as a finished centrepiece or painter's showcase rather than serve as a standard gaming piece. That said, any DM who drops this on the table as a visual reference for a death knight, a blackguard, or an undead warlord is going to get an immediate reaction from their players.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Want a detailed, large-scale painting project with real surface complexity
- Are building a dark fantasy display collection
- Need a visual reference or handout for a death knight, lich-bound champion, or undead general
- Are looking for a centrepiece gift for the painter or DM in their group
Encounter Hook:
The players have tracked the source of the undead incursions to a sealed vault beneath the ruined fortress. Inside, mounted on a plinth of blackened stone, is a helmet — skull grinning through a shattered visor — and a single inscription: "He is not buried here. He is waiting." The helm turns to face them as they read it.
