Kitsune Duelist Vivienne by Dungeons & Maidens

She levels the pistol before you've finished speaking — cape billowing, fox-tail coiled at her heel, and three moves already calculated behind those half-lidded eyes.

Vivienne is a kitsune duelist of rare composure — a foxfolk gunslinger whose wide-brimmed hat, billowing cape, and ornate flintlock say everything her expression doesn't bother to. She stands wide-legged on a rubble-strewn base, pistol levelled and extended, her free hand open at her side as if inviting someone to make this more interesting. Her feathered, fox-tail curves dramatically behind her, grounding the silhouette in something unmistakably otherworldly.

The sculpt draws from a rich intersection of Weird West swagger and Feywild elegance — making Vivienne one of those rare minis that slots naturally into a gunpowder-and-sorcery campaign, a Feywild emissary encounter, or a frontier-adjacent setting where the rules of civilisation are more like suggestions. Her ruffled sleeves, layered coat, and bullet-belt corset reward layered painting approaches: warm amber and burnt sienna for the leathers, cooler silvers and golds on the pistol's engravings, and whatever palette your imagination suggests for those fox features — naturalistic tawny, or something more unearthly entirely.

On the tabletop she reads immediately as a Rogue or Fighter — Gunslinger builds fit her particularly well — though she carries the quiet menace of a Monk who learned patience the hard way. As an NPC she makes a compelling rival, faction agent, or the party's only lead in a city that doesn't welcome outsiders.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

• Play Rogue, Fighter, or Gunslinger characters with a Weird West or Feywild flavour
• Need a rival NPC with immediate, unambiguous presence on the table
• Are building a kitsune, foxfolk, or beastfolk character roster
• Enjoy painting character-driven minis with strong silhouette and expressive detail
• Want a display piece that holds its own well away from a gaming session

Encounter Hook

The party has been hired to recover a stolen shipment of arcane ammunition — valuable enough that multiple factions want it back. They track the cargo to a half-ruined waystation outside town, only to find Vivienne already there, pistol drawn, standing over the crates with the relaxed posture of someone who arrived first and intends to leave the same way. She doesn't move. She doesn't threaten. She simply informs the party that she has been paid more than they have, and that whoever hired them is currently reconsidering that decision. She'll hear a counter-offer. She has time. The crates aren't going anywhere.
