Kitsune by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
She drifts through the cedar forest like smoke on still water — a fox-eared figure in layered robes, her paper parasol shielding her from a sun that does not seem to touch her at all.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Kitsune occupies a fascinating space between Fey trickster and wandering spirit — ancient, composed, and entirely unknowable. This sculpt by Mia Kay captures that quality precisely: she stands tall in an ornate kimono-style robe, its hem embroidered with interlocking knotwork, a decorative pipe held loosely in one hand and a wide paper parasol resting against her shoulder. Her fox ears are pricked forward with an air of quiet attention, and the curl of a tail peeks beneath the robe's hem. There is no aggression here — only the polite, patient danger of something that has lived for centuries and finds you mildly interesting.
Whether she appears as a cryptic NPC the party must bargain with, a spirit guardian of a sacred grove, or a Monk or Sorcerer player character drawing on eastern-inspired mythology, this mini carries enormous narrative weight for such an elegant pose. She works equally well as a display piece, painted in muted silk tones and displayed alongside other Fey or spirit-world sculpts.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run campaigns with Fey, spirit world, or Eastern-inspired mythology
- Need a composed, morally ambiguous NPC the party can't quite read
- Play Tabaxi, Kitsune, or fox-folk player characters
- Want a Monk or Sorcerer mini with an elegant, non-combat pose
- Collect display pieces with strong cultural and visual identity
Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party not to follow the fox-fire into the mountain pass — but the lights have been moving every night for a week, always in the same direction, and this morning a paper parasol was left outside the inn door with a single character painted on it that none of them can read.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale, primed and ready for painting or use straight from the base. The plain-base version ships with the base detached for easy gluing. Some minor support marks may be present after removal — these are easily tidied with a hobby file.
