Kenshin Tanaka is a human monk sculpted in a deep, grounded square stance — weight low, staff sweeping wide, robes caught mid-motion. Every element of the sculpt speaks to disciplined, relentless martial training: the prayer beads across his chest, the intricately carved medallion at his sash, the wrapped grip of his quarterstaff, and the sheer coiled energy of a fighter who hits like a thunderclap and feels nothing doing it. Three distinct poses are available across the Kenshin Tanaka range — this listing features the square stance, with his staff extended horizontally at full reach, capturing the split-second before impact.

Whether you're representing a Way of the Open Hand monk who's left his monastery for reasons he doesn't discuss, or a Sun Soul practitioner who channels ki into every swing, Kenshin reads immediately as someone who has put in the hours. The textured cobblestone base and dynamic robes give painters a wealth of surface to work across, while the clean lines of his shaved head and focused expression reward careful blending. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Play a human monk PC in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
  • Want a named NPC martial artist, rival, or sensei figure
  • Are looking for a ki-focused fighter with an Eastern-inspired aesthetic
  • Collect display-scale painted miniatures with strong character reads

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the mountain waystation to find every guard unconscious — not dead, just placed precisely so. In the courtyard, a bald monk in travelling robes stands motionless over a broken quarterstaff, looking at the door the party just came through. He has been expecting them. He doesn't say how long.

Details

Available at 32mm scale for tabletop play or 54mm for display painting projects. The scenic base is included and attaches cleanly with a small drop of superglue. Each miniature is produced to a high standard with supports removed; as with all hand-finished prints, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming.
