Description

Someone's tapped the barrel early — and judging by the state of the common room, it wasn't the first time tonight.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

Every tavern worth its salt has at least one of these tucked behind the bar or rolled into a corner by the hearth. This finely detailed keg sits on a sturdy wooden cradle, complete with iron bands, a wooden bung at the top, and a proper tap fitted to the front face — exactly the kind of prop that makes a battle map feel like a real place. Whether it's full of dwarven stout, alchemist's fire, or something a rogue has quietly substituted for something more interesting, the keg adds immediate narrative weight to any scene it occupies.

Beyond the tavern, this piece earns its place in cellars, market stalls, dockside warehouses, and smugglers' dens. It's the kind of scatter terrain that Dungeon Masters reach for again and again — small enough not to crowd the table, detailed enough to spark player curiosity every single time.

Useful for adventurers who:

  • Want to dress tavern, inn, and market encounter maps with convincing props
  • Need cover objects and interactive scenery for dungeon or urban sessions
  • Are building diorama scenes or display pieces set in a fantasy town or cellar
  • Enjoy painting small character-rich pieces between larger projects

Encounter Hook:
The contact said to meet at the Broken Antler at midnight — leave a coin under the third keg from the left. But when the party arrives, there are four kegs, and one of them is warm to the touch. Someone else got here first, and whatever's inside isn't ale.

Details

Sculpted at 32mm scale. This piece arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight away to set the scene. Please note that as with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up before painting. The piece is fully cured and ready to use.
