The Keeper of the Library is no shambling grave-warden — he is a sentinel of forbidden knowledge, a once-mortal scholar bound by oath and dark ritual to guard texts that were never meant to be read. Barefoot and bare-chested, wrapped only in a tattered ceremonial skirt and a belt of ancient rings, he moves with the coiled energy of someone who has waited centuries for exactly this moment. Both arms are raised overhead, a massive scroll held aloft like a weapon — or perhaps an offering — his muscular frame twisted mid-motion, caught between reverence and rage.

This is pose 01 of our Keeper of the Library range from Great Grimoire. The sculpt captures extraordinary anatomical detail — the tension in his torso, the grip of his fingers around the scroll case, the subtle scarification on his scalp. He reads equally well as an undead guardian, a cursed sage, or a mummy lord's devoted servant. Whether placed at the centre of a dungeon encounter or on a display shelf, he commands attention without demanding it.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run D&D 5e campaigns featuring cursed archives, ancient tombs, or forbidden lore
  • Need a distinctive undead NPC with presence beyond a standard mummy stat block
  • Want a centrepiece mini that rewards careful painting — cloth, skin, and scroll textures all offer depth
  • Are building a collection of atmospheric, lore-rich undead miniatures

Encounter Hook:
The party has been searching the collapsed east wing of the Obsidian Library for three hours when the dust shifts — and a figure rises from behind a toppled bookcase, clutching a sealed scroll above his head and reciting, in a dead language, the names of everyone who has touched these shelves without permission. The Keeper has their names. He has always had their names.

What's included:
This miniature is printed at 32mm scale. A base is included — plain black as standard, or a decorative base option is available. If you select the decorative base, please include a note with your order specifying your preferred option. The base is supplied separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
