Keeper of the Final Rot (Lichenmort) by Great Grimoire
Description
Where death meets decay, the Lichenmort stirs — a skeleton swallowed by centuries of creeping fungus, its bones armoured in living rot, its hollow gaze older than the forest floor itself.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Keeper of the Final Rot is not simply undead — it is undead reclaimed. A long-dead warrior whose skeleton has been colonised by a relentless fungal intelligence, the Lichenmort stands as a chilling fusion of two worlds: the animate dead and the slow, inexorable spread of mycelium. Its ornate shield, carved with monstrous faces and draped in creeping tendrils, speaks to a martial past. The mass of blooming fungal caps erupting from its shoulders and skull speaks to something far stranger claiming dominion over what remains.
For Dungeon Masters, this miniature offers tremendous narrative flexibility — a cursed knight lost in the Underdark, a guardian placed by a Myconid sovereign, or the physical manifestation of a druid's corruption arc. The sculpt rewards painters with an extraordinary range of textures: exposed bone, rusted chain, carved stonework on the shield, and the organic, layered caps of shelf fungi spilling from the creature's upper body.
A fine addition for adventurers who:
- Run Underdark campaigns featuring fungal horrors and mycelium networks
- Need a visually distinctive undead boss or elite encounter creature
- Are building a Myconid-adjacent faction with a martial guardian
- Want a display piece that rewards close inspection from every angle
- Are exploring corruption, undeath, and nature-themed horror arcs
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a missing ranger into the Thornwood Barrows, only to find him standing motionless at the entrance — eyes glazed, skin threaded with white filaments. Behind him, the Keeper of the Final Rot waits in silence, shield raised, spore-laden air drifting forward like an offering. The ranger smiles. He doesn't recognise them anymore.
This miniature is printed at 35mm scale — slightly larger than the standard 32mm. If you'd prefer it scaled to 32mm, just drop us a message and we'll be happy to adjust. The decorative base comes separate and can be attached with a small amount of glue — if you select that option, please send us a note specifying which of the three base styles you'd like. The miniature arrives ready for priming and painting, or use it as-is straight from the box.
