Description
Somewhere beneath the surface, where the light fails and the current runs cold, something trails its tendrils through the dark and waits for the unwary to swim too close.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This jellyfish miniature from Mia Kay M3DM is a beautifully observed sculpt that captures the eerie, drifting menace of one of the ocean's most ancient creatures. The bell is rendered with soft, organic segmentation, while the trailing tentacles twist and coil downward in a dynamic, mid-drift pose — suggesting slow, purposeful movement rather than stillness. Mounted on a sculpted oval base, this piece carries genuine depth and movement even before a drop of paint is applied.
In a TTRPG context, jellyfish can fill a remarkable range of roles — from a naturally occurring sea hazard to an awakened or magically enlarged beast, a familiar conjured by a coastal warlock, or the herald of a deeper, stranger ocean encounter. This sculpt is equally at home as a table piece during play or as a display miniature on a shelf alongside coral, sea creatures, and undersea terrain.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Run aquatic, coastal, or Underdark campaigns and need atmospheric wildlife
- Want a versatile beast miniature that doubles as an environmental hazard or encounter centrepiece
- Are building a painted sea creature collection or display diorama
- Need a distinctive familiar or conjured beast for a warlock or druid character
Encounter Hook:
The party's underwater breathing enchantment has forty minutes left — plenty of time to reach the sunken temple. Then the ranger spots them: three enormous jellyfish drifting in a slow constellation directly across the only clear passage, their trailing filaments spanning metres, and the water ahead flickering with a faint, bioluminescent pulse that wasn't there a moment ago.
