Description

He didn't build his empire with gold or magic — he built it with salvage, spite, and the kind of grin that makes hardened soldiers reconsider their career choices.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

The Jarl of Junk is a warlord who wears his history on his chest. Thick plated armour, dented and riveted from decades of conflict, is slung with a heavy rope sash that speaks of a life at sea or on the siege lines. His expression is pure menace — fanged teeth bared in a wide, threatening snarl, deep-set eyes narrowed beneath a craggy brow, and a crown of jagged stone-like protrusions rising from his skull like a natural warcrest. This is not a creature who issues ultimatums. He issues wreckage.

As a display bust, this sculpt is built to reward the painter. The surface texture across the armour plating is rich with pitting and battle damage, the rope coils carry individual strand detail, and the face is a masterclass in expressive, character-driven anatomy. Whether you mount it as a showcase centrepiece or use it as visual shorthand for an NPC your players will never forget, the Jarl of Junk earns its place on any shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want a display bust with genuine character and paintable surface depth
  • Are building a collection of fantasy villain and warlord pieces
  • Need a visual reference for a brutal orc chieftain, mercenary boss, or sea raider NPC
  • Are looking for a centrepiece painting project with expressive facial detail
  • Want narrative inspiration for a D&D or TTRPG campaign antagonist

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to negotiate a ceasefire with the Junk Jarls — a loose confederation of scavenger warlords who have been raiding the coast for three seasons. They expect a brute. They find the Jarl seated behind a throne built from the figureheads of ships he has sunk, wearing that same flat, toothy grin — and they realise, too late, that the negotiation ended before it began.

Details

This is a display bust, scaled and sculpted for painting projects, collectors' shelves, and narrative inspiration rather than standard tabletop use. Supplied unpainted. Printed at high detail to preserve the texture and expression of the original sculpt. Minor surface clean-up may be required where supports have been removed — this is standard for resin busts of this complexity.
