Jackalweres occupy a strange and threatening niche in the monster manual — humanoid enough to walk through a market unnoticed, bestial enough to tear through leather armour with casual ease. This sculpt captures the creature mid-combat stance: weight dropped low on digitigrade feet, one serrated blade raised and one drawn back for a follow-through strike. The pose radiates controlled aggression, every muscle coiled.

The detail work rewards a careful painter. Layered lamellar armour plates cover her torso and thighs, carved with a snarling mask motif at the belt. Rope-wrapped vambraces protect her forearms, and her braided locs trail down her back — visible in the rear view, which is every bit as characterful as the front. The jackal muzzle is alert and sharp, ears angled forward, reading the battlefield.

Whether you're running her as a hired blade from the desert fringes, a shapeshifter infiltrating a caravan, or a Gnoll-adjacent predator in a wilderness ambush, this sculpt has the specificity to carry the story. She also reads strongly as a Monk, Ranger, or Rogue player character for adventurers who want something a little outside the standard humanoid range.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run desert, grassland, or wilderness encounters where shapeshifter threats lurk
  • Want a dual-wielding beast-folk PC with a distinct martial silhouette
  • Are building out a jackalwere pack or creature faction for a longer campaign arc
  • Enjoy painting complex armour details and layered textures across fur and metal
  • Collect beast-folk miniatures for display as well as play

Encounter Hook: The trading post at the edge of the Amber Wastes has been losing caravans for three months. The party is hired to investigate — and finds a woman in tarnished armour waiting at the crossroads, offering to guide them through for a modest fee. She smells faintly of wet sand and something older. Her eyes catch the firelight just a half-second too long.
