This jackalwere miniature captures the creature mid-stance, weight shifted onto one leg with a knee raised and arms extended — caught in that predatory half-step between circling and striking. Her canine muzzle is sharp and alert, framed by long braided dreadlocks that cascade over her shoulder and down her back. A pair of pointed ears rise above the crown of her head, lending her silhouette an instantly recognisable jackal-folk character.
Her armour is a layered affair — structured pauldrons, a fitted breastplate, and articulated tassets over her haunches — decorated with flowing scrollwork along the lower panels. A rope-wrapped belt cinches the ensemble at the waist, and her digitigrade legs end in clawed feet that speak to her beastly nature. The detail across the braided tail, armour plating, and claw anatomy rewards a careful painting hand and photographs exceptionally well from every angle.
Whether you're fielding her as a shapeshifter villain lurking in a desert trading town, a fierce mercenary ally with questionable loyalties, or a fully realised player character built around a jackalwere or Catfolk concept, this sculpt carries genuine personality. The dynamic pose reads clearly on the tabletop without sacrificing the finer details that make her worth painting for the display shelf.
This miniature suits adventurers who:
- Run desert or wilderness encounters with shapeshifter-type enemies or NPCs
- Want a distinctive Catfolk, Foxfolk, or beastfolk player character sculpt
- Play Pathfinder or D&D campaigns featuring lycanthropes or jackalwere lore
- Enjoy painting detailed creature-folk armour with layered textures and braided hair
- Are building out a collection of non-standard humanoid monsters and antiheroes
Encounter Hook: The merchant caravan has made camp for the night when one of the guards — a quiet, amber-eyed woman who joined the column three days ago — slips away from the firelight. The party's tracker follows her to the edge of the dunes, where she stands upright on one leg, head tilted to the desert wind, arms raised as though reading something in the air that no human nose could catch. She hears the footstep. She turns. She smiles — and the muzzle is already showing.
