This Female Jackalwere miniature from Epic Miniatures captures the creature at her most formidable — a lithe, jackal-headed warrior clad in layered segmented armour, with scaled bracers wrapping her forearms and a thick braided tail sweeping behind her. Her stance is mid-movement, one leg raised as she pivots, a long curved blade held high across her shoulder in a ready-strike position. A second implement is visible at her hip, and the detail throughout — from the intricately sculpted scales on her armour plates to the scroll-worked knee guards and the fine braiding of her hair — rewards close inspection and careful painting alike.

The rear of the sculpt is equally well considered: the tail's scale texture continues cleanly down its length, and the back armour shows lacework lacing across a fitted torso plate, giving her a warrior's practicality rather than mere ornamentation. Her clawed feet are bare, gripping the ground with predatory purpose. This is a character with a clear fighting style — fast, confident, and dangerous up close.

Whether you're running her as a shapeshifting antagonist in a desert city, a mercenary with a complicated past, or a player character pushing the boundaries of a monstrous race build, this sculpt carries the weight of its lore with real presence on the table.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Need a jackalwere NPC or monstrous encounter for a desert or urban campaign
  • Play a shapeshifter, beast-folk warrior, or exotic fighter as a player character
  • Want a detailed centrepiece mini that rewards ambitious paint schemes
  • Are building out an Egyptian-inspired or desert-region encounter group
  • Collect beast-folk miniatures for display alongside a broader themed range

Encounter Hook: The party is hired to investigate a series of disappearances in a trade city's merchant quarter. The trail leads them to a private fighting pit run by a jackalwere mercenary captain — who has no intention of letting witnesses walk out, and whose blade is already in motion before the players realise they've been made.
