Description

Somewhere in the lightless waters beneath the Underdark, something ancient and hungry glides silently upward — fins spread wide, barbed tail coiling, eyes fixed on prey that hasn't yet realised it's being hunted.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Ixitxachitl are among the most unsettling denizens of the deep places — ray-like aberrations touched by demonic corruption, worshipping dark powers and preying on anything foolish enough to enter their domain. This sculpt captures that predatory menace with striking accuracy: a broad, sail-finned body swept back into a whipping barbed tail, clawed limbs tucked beneath, and a silhouette that reads as deeply, unmistakably wrong. The three images show distinct variant poses from the range — this listing is for Ixitxachitl 01, the first sculpt in the series, shown mid-glide with wings flared and tail arcing upward in a threat display. Whether you're running an Underdark arc or staging a flooded temple encounter, this miniature will stop your players cold the moment it hits the table.

The detail across the wing membranes, ribbed underbelly, and talon-like appendages rewards a careful paint job — deep purples and sickly greens, or the translucent blue-grey of something that has never seen sunlight. Equally compelling on a display shelf as it is menacing in play.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Are running Underdark campaigns or aquatic dungeon encounters
  • Need a demon-touched aberration to terrorise mid-level parties
  • Want a centrepiece monster that reads immediately as alien and threatening
  • Collect Yasashii Kyojin Studios sculpts or Underdark-themed miniatures
  • Enjoy painting creatures with unusual anatomy and dramatic wing structures

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a fleeing cultist into a flooded lower chamber — only to find him already dead, floating face-down. The ripples on the surface aren't from his body. Something beneath is circling, patient and precise, and it already knows exactly how many of them there are.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. Each piece is quality-checked before dispatch; as with all high-detail miniatures, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to tidy up. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
