Description

Behind the iron beak, no face has ever been seen — only the slow toll of the bell and the certainty that the Iron Mask Cleric arrives wherever death is already waiting.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

This sculpt by The Witchguild captures a powerfully built cleric in full plague doctor regalia: a wide-brimmed hat with a feathered clasp, a layered leather duster coat, and a distinctive beaked iron mask that speaks of quarantine wards and forgotten rituals. Beads and small bells hang at the waist, and one gauntleted fist grips a tall iron staff from which a lantern is suspended — casting dim light over a rubble-strewn base scattered with the detritus of a city that has known disease and ruin. The coat billows dramatically behind as though the figure has just arrived mid-stride, purposeful and unhurried.

Whether played as a worshipper of the Raven Queen, a Death Domain cleric dispensing mercy on his own terms, or an enigmatic NPC the party cannot quite decide to trust, this miniature carries genuine weight at the table. The intricate detail — from the layered folds of the coat to the tiny bells and ornate lantern — also makes it a deeply rewarding painting project for collectors who want a centrepiece character with genuine character and presence.

Well-suited to adventurers who:

  • Play clerics of the Death, Grave, or Twilight Domain
  • Need a memorable plague doctor NPC or cult leader for a dark urban campaign
  • Want a villain, cryptic ally, or quarantine-enforcing quest-giver with visual impact
  • Enjoy detailed display-scale painting projects with strong silhouettes and layered textures

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in a city where the bells have been ringing for three days straight. No one will say why — but every survivor has seen the same robed figure moving through the fog between the bodies, staff in hand and lantern swinging, never stopping, never speaking. When the Iron Mask Cleric finally addresses the party by name, it becomes clear he has been expecting them for some time.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale and supplied with a scenic rubble-strewn base. A display-scale version sized for a 4×4 base is also available. The base is detached for ease of transport and attaches simply with super glue. Some assembly may be required. As with all hand-finished prints, minor marks from support removal are possible but straightforward to tidy up before priming.
