Description

Built to endure, commanded to destroy — the iron golem moves with the slow, inevitable weight of a war machine that feels no pain and knows no mercy.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the second sculpt variation of MZ4250's Iron Golem — distinguished by its forward-crouching combat stance, one gauntleted fist clenched at its side and a broad shortsword gripped low and ready to drive upward. The hunched aggression in the pose communicates a machine mid-charge, not merely standing guard. Thick segmented plate covers the entire body, with angular shoulder pauldrons, heavy knee guards, and armoured boots that speak to a body forged rather than grown. The helm bears a stern visor with narrow, glowering eye slits — the kind of face that makes adventurers quietly reconsider their life choices.

Whether you're running it as a classic D&D Iron Golem, a construct guardian in a wizard's vault, or a mechanical sentinel in a steampunk dungeon, this sculpt brings genuine menace to the table. Painted in iron grey with rust washes and oxidisation effects, it would be equally at home on a competitive painting display shelf.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a construct guardian to defend a dungeon or arcane laboratory
  • Are building encounters around animated constructs, mechanical monsters, or magical traps
  • Play artificers or wizards who might just have one of these on their side
  • Enjoy painting heavy metallic armour with rust, verdigris, and weathering effects
  • Want a characterful display piece that doubles as a table-ready miniature

Encounter Hook: The party has been tasked with retrieving a stolen spellbook from the sanctum of a rogue mage. The first two rooms were empty. The third is not — a seven-foot construct crouches behind a fallen column, blade in hand, its visor tracking the door with an intelligence that does not belong to anything merely mechanical. Something has changed its orders.

Details

This listing is for variation 2 of the Iron Golem sculpt from MZ4250's Monster Manual 2025 range — a crouching, sword-bearing pose with aggressive forward weight. Supplied as a single unpainted miniature at 32mm scale on a flat oval base. Detail throughout the armour plating and helm is crisp and well-suited to drybrushing, washes, or NMM metallic techniques.
