The Intellect Devourer is one of D&D's most unsettling aberrations: a disembodied brain given terrible, skittering life. Birthed from the mind flayer colonies of the Underdark, these creatures are planted inside the skulls of living victims, hollowing out identity and replacing it with the will of the Elder Brain. This sculpt captures the creature in its natural, predatory form — low to the ground, four clawed limbs spread wide, its grotesque cerebral mass dominating the silhouette entirely. Every gyrus and sulcus is rendered with unnerving clarity, making this a rewarding model to paint with washes and glazes.
This is pose 03 of our Intellect Devourer range from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, featuring a distinct crouched-and-lurking stance that differs from the other variants — worth comparing if you're building a scattered encounter or a full illithid lair encounter map. What's included:
One Intellect Devourer 03 miniature at 32mm scale (approximately 13mm tall). Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all high-detail resin work, minor surface marks are possible and easily cleaned up before painting.
