The Intellect Devourer is one of the most unsettling creatures in the Underdark's arsenal. A disembodied brain mounted on four clawed limbs, it skitters through the dark in service of its mind flayer masters, seeking hosts to hollow out and puppet from within. This sculpt captures the creature mid-stalk — low to the ground, weight forward, claws splayed and ready. The deep folds and convolutions of the cerebral mass are rendered with real fidelity, and the four powerful legs carry a sense of coiled, predatory intent that makes this one as disturbing on the shelf as it is on the table.
This is pose 01 of the Intellect Devourer range from Yasashii Kyojin Studio. One variant features all four legs in a tight, forward-crouched stance; another includes a long tail trailing behind, adding an even more unsettling silhouette. Supplied at 32mm scale and ready for priming and painting. Available with or without a plain black base; the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is checked before dispatch, though the nature of high-detail printing means minor marks are occasionally possible — these are straightforward to clean up.
