Inquisitor Initiate (Varys Farseeker) by DM Stash
Description
Some inquisitors serve their order with sword and scripture — Varys Farseeker serves his patron, and the two allegiances are not always the same thing.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This miniature captures Varys in a striking mid-cast stance: one hand pressed to his face as though channelling some vision or warding off pain, the other raised and gripping a curved arcane focus wreathed in eldritch coils. His layered leather armour is cinched with a utility belt and buckled straps, speaking to a character who lives in the field rather than the library. The real showstopper is the cape — sculpted in full dramatic billow, it sweeps behind him with genuine movement, making this piece as rewarding to paint from the back as from the front. The textured rocky base, complete with jutting crystal formations, grounds the whole composition in a moment of genuine tension.
Varys reads equally well as a Warlock PC mid-eldritch blast, a Hexblade duelling in the dark, or a morally complicated Inquisitor NPC who knows far more about the party's patron than he's letting on. The small horns and sharp features hint at a tiefling heritage, adding a layer of lore potential for adventurers who like their characters to carry secrets.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Play Warlocks, Hexblades, or arcane investigators
- Need a tiefling PC or recurring NPC with a distinct silhouette
- Want a miniature that carries narrative weight on and off the table
- Are building an inquisition-themed faction or morally grey organisation
- Collect display pieces that reward careful painting from every angle
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at a ruined waystation to find Varys Farseeker already there — kneeling in the centre of a scorched circle, one hand pressed to his face, the other raised toward something only he can see. He turns when he hears them. "Your patron," he says quietly, "has been lying to you." He doesn't elaborate. He just waits.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and scenic base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with a small amount of super glue — the sculpt interacts with the base in a way that makes assembly well worth the extra minute. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. We quality check every mini before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin prints, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are straightforward to tidy up.
