Voalsh is no ordinary mind flayer. Where most illithids rule through elder brains and colony hierarchy, Voalsh has transcended that web entirely — a solitary prophet who meditates at the confluence of psionic ley lines, drinking in visions from across the planes. The sculpt captures this perfectly: seated cross-legged on a dripping, ancient plinth, robes pooled around it, the figure is simultaneously serene and deeply unsettling. Eight skeletal, bat-like wings arc upward in a dramatic spread, their membranous structure threaded with spurs and claws that suggest something predatory lurking beneath the monastic stillness.

The face is pure illithid horror — four writhing tentacles cascade from the lower jaw, and deep-set eyes peer out beneath the cowl of a heavy hood. The armoured chest piece and layered robes speak to centuries of accumulated power; this is not a creature that wanders into dungeons. Your adventurers will come to it. The scenic base is a masterwork in itself: a wide, flat surface that appears to be melting or dissolving at its edges, as though reality itself is warping in Voalsh's presence, with runes etched faintly into the surface.
