The Ice Golem Pound cuts an imposing silhouette — a massive construct of cracked and fractured stone, hunched forward with one enormous spiked fist pulled back mid-swing. Every surface of this sculpt speaks to raw geological power: angular facets of shattered rock plate across the shoulders and chest, a deeply textured stone hide broken by veins and crumbling edges, and a broad low centre of gravity that makes this creature look utterly immovable even in motion. A circular rune-like emblem is visible at the chest, hinting at the arcane binding that holds this creature together — or barely does.
Despite its name, this is very much a creature of earth and stone rather than ice, with a warm terracotta-toned resin render that shows off the exceptional surface detail Epic Miniatures have built into the sculpt. The pose is dynamic and immediate — this golem isn't standing idle, it's in the act of delivering a blow that could flatten a fully armoured knight. The oversized, knobbled fist is the focal point of the composition, and it translates beautifully to the tabletop as a large-scale encounter piece.
This is a Large-sized miniature, noticeably bigger than a standard 32mm figure, as shown by the scale die reference in the render. It commands table space and table presence in equal measure, making it as impressive on a display shelf as it is terrifying across a battle grid.
Excellent for adventurers who:
- Need a large construct boss or wandering dungeon guardian
- Are running elemental plane or earth-themed encounters
- Want a dramatic centrepiece for dungeon delve sessions
- Enjoy painting heavily textured rocky surfaces with washes and drybrushing
- Are building out an elemental or golem-themed warband or encounter set
Encounter Hook: The party descends into the sealed lower vault of a dwarven forge-temple, only to find that the sacred guardian — dormant for three centuries — has already been reactivated by a rival faction. The rune at its chest glows faintly as it rises, and the narrow stone corridor offers nowhere to run. Initiative, please.
